Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg and pumpkin and mix well. Sift together and add flour, baking powder, soda and pumpkin pie spice. Add to mixture and mix well, then add vanilla and chopped nuts and raisins.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 D F. for 14 min.
